Newcastle United caretaker boss Graeme Jones has revealed a new training ground upgrade.

Jones says that the next Newcastle United boss will benefit from a newly laid training pitch at Benton.

The interim boss revealed the training ground improvement and said that the squad are yet to get to use the new surface at their North Tyneside HQ.

Asked when the incoming manager can hope to expect, Jones said: "He will inherit a group of players and staff who are together.

"He will inherit a brand new Desso pitch on the training ground, which will allow him to go to work, which we haven't been able to so far this season.

"So there are lots of good things.

"I am sure he will have his own playing style in mind, whoever this guy is.

"And he will have a chance, there's nothing more important than the next 10 games."
