Kota Kinabalu: A total of 10,200 spectators are now allowed to enter Likas Stadium to watch the first leg of the Malaysia Cup quarter-final match between Sabah FC and Melaka United this Sunday.

Sabah Football Association (Safa) Gates and Tickets Committee chairman Shamsuddin Mohd Shah said they received the confirmation letter issued by Malaysian Football League (MFL) chief executive officer Stuart Ramalingam on Thursday.

Shamsuddin, who is also Safa Supreme Council committee member, also said that with the increased capacity, they will take serious precautions to ensure all the spectators will comply with the standard operating procedures (SOP) related to the prevention of Covid-19.

“The safety of all parties will always be our priority to stop the spread of the virus.

“Once again, we would like to remind the spectators to wear face masks during the match and no eating and drinking activities as well as no umbrellas and helmets are allowed into the stadium,” he said.
