Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay insists Adnan Januzaj wants to stay.
The Belgium winger comes off contract at the end of the season.
But Aperribay is confident Januzaj will stay and sign a new contract: "We have had few conversations with Janu, but they have sincere and we will have a conversation in the short term.
"We are going to try, not many times, but we are going to try, it is going to be a conversation."
He added: "If you think your future is in La Real, which I think so, go ahead. If La Real cannot tackle the operation, go ahead too."
