Dutch pundit Valentin Driessen believes Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek.

Ajax chief Marc Overmars revealed last week he is working on a "tip" from Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt, admitting he moved to bring Daley Blind back from United after a similar conversation with the former Ajax stopper.

Driessen is convinced Overmars was talking about Van de Beek, stating on De Telegraaf: "Let's assume that it has been a tip from recent times. Then you should look at ex-Ajacieds with whom he interacts and with whom he has contact. Then you will soon see Van de Beek arrive. Perhaps he has spoken to him and that he knows that Donny would like to return to the Netherlands.

"His girlfriend is pregnant, so she is close to her mother and father.

"Perhaps De Ligt has said that he should try to get Donny van de Beek back to Ajax. If Overmars leaves for Newcastle United, they can at least pick up De Ligt as technical director. That is a good replacement!"
