Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah says they were always confident of fighting back against Atletico Madrid.
Valencia struck twice in injury-time on Sunday to draw 3-3 with Atleti.
Musah said yesterday: "It's very difficult to come back from 1-3 down. We know that we have to improve defensively. It's good to score goals, but we will win more games if we improve in defence.
"We believed until the end, because we'd scored late against Mallorca and other teams. We knew that we could fight back. We fought to the end, with the fans always helping us.
"It wasn't just down to us. The fans helped us a lot to react, right to the end."
Of his own performance, Musah added: "I feel very good. I was really keen to play, and to show the coach that I could do well. I'm happy that we drew, but we always ask for more. If we can score without conceding, then all the better."
