Liverpool are discussing testing Leeds United's resolve with a January bid for Raphinha.

The Mirror says Liverpool could make a move for Raphinha in January in sporting director Michael Edwards' last transfer window at the Reds.

If Liverpool decide to open their chequebook then Raphinha is the leading contender to join the club.

The 24-year-old has been in excellent form for Leeds so far this season, scoring five goals in ten league starts.

His stock has risen extortionately since making the move to Elland Road from Rennes last year for just £17million.
