Brentford star Mathias Jensen has tested positive for COVID-19.

The midfielder received the positive test as he touched down in Denmark for international duty.

He must now remain in his home country and go through a period of isolation, before he can return to the United Kingdom.

Jensen received his positive test result at the airport, which means he did not come into contact with his Danish teammates, and the rest of the squad are clear to play against Faroe Islands and Scotland in World Cup Qualifiers.

"Mathias Jensen has returned a positive Covid-19 test on duty with Denmark," Brentford said in a statement.

"He will undergo a period of isolation and then return to London.

"The positive test came at the airport, so Denmark's international camp won't be affected."
