French Football Federation president Noel Le Graet says Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema retains their full support.
Benzema was found guilty today of being part of a blackmail case involving former France teammate Mathieu Valbuena. He has received a one-year suspended sentence.
Le Graet stated after the verdict: "I'm happy with the player. He is efficient, he drives perfectly well. There is no question that the Federation will take a decision that would be stronger than justice.
"Insofar as Didier (Deschamps) wants to select him, the Federation will have no opposition. There is no obstacle to his continuing to play for the France team. I'm happy with the player."
