Newcastle striker Joelinton says he's newly found form is thanks to manager Eddie Howe.

The forward has seemingly found new lease of life during the 43-year-old's short time at the Magpies, having started in each of his six matches at the helm.

Speaking to NUFC TV, he said: "It's hard to say - I don't like talking about myself. Ever since I arrived here I've always worked hard; now I work even harder. Success on the pitch is a result of this work.

"I feel good physically, better, more confident and stronger.

"This has helped me a lot in games. Eddie's arrival has also helped me in some aspects of my game, such as movement on the pitch, and the confidence he's placed in me has been fundamental.

"I hope to continue developing and to help the team win games, which is what's most important to me."
