Ajax have informed Newcastle United and other clubs to stop calling them about Director of Football Marc Overmars.
The former winger, who played for Ajax, Barcelona, and Arsenal in his career, has a contract with Ajax until 2026.
He recently penned a two year extension to his previous deal, which ran until 2024.
Ajax produced a short video to make the announcement, which shows their phone ringing with many voice mails.
Those were meant to represent clubs wanting to speak about Overmars, who is sipping on a glass of whisky as news of his contract extension is revealed in the video.
