Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone is being discussed inside Manchester United's board room.
That's according to Okdiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda, while speaking on El Chiringuito.
United currently have Ralf Rangnick in charge as caretaker, with the aim of replacing him with a long-term successor in June.
Inda revealed: "Manchester United have always had a plan who is the highest paid coach in the world, Cholo Simeone.
"United's interest remains and they will try to do the operation in the summer market."
Simeone is on €10m-a-year at Atletico, with his contract running to 2024.
