Manchester City ace Kevin de Bruyne says their 7-0 rout of Leeds United is just the jolt the players needed.
The midfielder scored twice in the huge victory over the Yorkshire side, including a stunning strike from outside the box that lit up the Etihad crowd.
De Bruyne insists that the result will provide an uplift to those players who scored but who haven't played as much football recently.
He said: “We started really well, I think we kept the ball at the right times and once we saw the opening in the defence, we attacked really well.
“Scoring 2/3 goals makes the game easier but a lot of players who didn't play too much in the last games played and chipped in with goals so I think it is a big boost for everybody."
