Former Norwich City boss Daniel Farke is emerging as a surprise contender for the Besiktas job.

According to SPORT1, the ex-Canaries manager is very close to being named as the head coach at the Turkish giants.

The 45-year-old left Norwich in November, and was replaced by Dean Smith.

The Turkish Super Lig club are set to make a final decision on their new boss in the next 48 hours.

Farke will be hoping for an instant return to work, and a chance to rebuild his reputation after another poor start to life in the Premier League after promotion from the Championship with Norwich.
