Former Manchester City attacker Ferran Torres is excited to join Barcelona.
The Spain international has joined from Manchester City via a deal that could be worth up to 65 million euros and he believes he'll be able to improve as a player and person at the Blaugrana.
"I'm so happy to join this great club," Torres said in an interview with the Catalan club's official media.
"I hope to continue to grow as a football player and a person while helping Barcelona to be who they are, one of the best clubs in the world.
"I'm very happy to be here. I think this is a big step in my career in order to continue improving and to continue scoring goals, to grow up as a player and as a person.
"It is a club that is happy with my arrival and I am looking forward to being with this team."
Discussing his new coach Xavi, the Spaniard explained that he is excited to work with someone who had such an impressive playing career.
"I already know about the career Xavi had a player, it's exquisite," Torres said.
"Now, as a coach, he is just as good.
"He is just starting, but I know he is the kind of quality coach who can help me in my growth to get better and I am looking forward to being able to be with him."
Asked what qualities he'll bring to the Camp Nou, Torres spoke about his ability to play in different positions.
"Versatility, as I think I can play any of the three positions up front, which is important if there are injuries or whatever," he replied.
"I intend to help the team score goals, provide assists and defend."
