Brighton captain Adam Lallana found plenty of positives after their 2-0 win against Brentford.
Lallana was captain in the 2-0 win over Brentford on Boxing Day, a result which he hopes will give Albion confidence ahead of Wednesday's trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea.
"I always try to lead but I thought there were 11 leaders out there against Brentford who showed personality and character. And that's what we're going to need if we want to climb the table," said Lallana.
“We talked about it before the Brentford game. There is a lot of uncertainty in football and the world at the moment, so we spoke about enjoying the game. We ran and tackled for each other and bounced back when things didn't go our way. It was a big three points with two outstanding finishes."
Danny Welbeck and Adam Webster added to the feel-good factor by returning from injury.
“They are big characters in our squad," added Lallana. “Danny brings the best out of anyone, he's a world-class footballer, a different level of player and if we can keep him fit between now and the end of the season he can be massive for us."
