The goalkeeper is one of the lowest paid at Chelsea, despite his influence on the Blues.
Football Insider says Mendy currently earns £60,000-a-week and his deal runs to 2025.
Chelsea are now prepared to hand the 2020 signing from Rennes a bumper pay-hike to recognise his impact over the past 18 months.
Mendy, 29, has played 63 competitive matches for Chelsea and kept a clean sheet 36 times.
