Sky Italia says Roma have now agreed personal terms with Maitland-Niles.
He is eager to make the move to Roma after his loan spell with West Bromwich Albion last season. Roma wish to include a permanent option in the six-month loan arrangement.
Maitland-Niles has only 11 appearances for Arsenal so far this season, providing one assist.
