Manchester City delivered a crushing 7-0 win over Leeds United at the Etihad on Tuesday.

Pep Guardiola's side delivered an attacking masterclass to put themselves four points clear on top of the Premier League table.

Phil Foden opened the scoring after eight minutes, following up after Rodri's effort was saved.

Facing criticism for his contribution this season, Jack Grealish popped up to score his second Premier League goal of the season to make it 2-0.

Kevin De Bruyne joined in on the party by converting Rodri's pass to score his first goal since mid-October.

Riyad Mahrez made it four shortly after half-time with a shot that deflected off Junior Firpo.

De Bruyne got his second of the game, perhaps the best goal of the night, with a thunderous strike into the top corner from distance.

The rout continued as defenders John Stones and Nathan Ake made it 7-0 against a hapless Leeds outfit.

In truth, the result could have been worse for the Elland Road outfit, who must now recoup ahead of Saturday's clash with Arsenal.

Speaking after the game, Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa took responsibility for the result.

"There is nothing positive to take away from our performance," the Argentine told BT Sport.

"I can't find anything that can be valued. When there's nothing that's well done, it's not individualities that fail, but the conduction and organisation. There's no justification I can offer. The game was exactly how we thought it would be. We prepared ourselves to avoid everything that happened. We didn't manage to get anything.

"It [their usual style] is what we tried the whole game. Surely if we'd done the opposite, we would be lamented for not attempting anything to take away possesion from the opponent.

"What we attempted generated danger in our own goal. We didn't do anything well. That was evident in the scoreline.

"I insist everything that happened was what we wanted to avoid. As there's nothing to take from it, it's inevitable I have to take responsibility for a defeat of this type.

"We've never had a performance like the one today."
