Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri admitted frustration after their 0-0 draw with Europa League opponents Galatarasay.

It means Lazio are now in the play-offs, rather than through to the round of 16.

“I think we played well, we were just lacking something in the final third, like the last pass or a set play. It was complicated, because Galatasaray didn't really want to play, they just came here to defend," Sarri told Sky Italia.

“The other complication was the pitch, which was just in an awful condition. We dominated possession and took the initiative, but couldn't find a way through.

“We must learn to win this type of game, be more consistent and transform territorial dominance into a result. We had what felt like a million moves reaching the edge of their area, but were always missing something.

“The biggest problem for this team has always been organisation, but I have seen enormous progress on that front in the last couple of games.

“One always hopes to progress quickly, but in real life there are difficulties, so we are more or less at the stage we expected right now."
