Everton have held talks with agents for Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho.
Barca have encouraged Coutinho to find himself a new club in January, with the midfielder failing to win over coach Xavi since his appointment.
Tottenham and Newcastle have been offered Coutinho and Mundo Deportivo says Everton have also held talks with his agents in recent days.
Any move to Goodison Park would spark controversy given his time with Liverpool, though it's understood Coutinho favours a return to England if he must leave Barca.
The Brazil international has managed 16 appearances for Barca this season.
