Kota Kinabalu: Magnifine Group from Tawau clinched the 21st Malaysia Sabah Table Tennis Masters 2021 title by defeating Sandakan TTC A 3-0 in the final held at the Olympia Badminton Arena, Inanam, Kota Kinabalu last Sunday.
The champions had earlier beat Shine TTC from Kota Kinabalu 3-1 in the semi-final while Sandakan TTC A edged SB Ping Pong A 3-2 in the other tie.
In the consolation pool, Borneo Cops of Kota Kinabalu beat OTW 3-0 to take the title.
Both finalists had an easy game in the semi-final with Borneo Cops defeating Papar SLV A 3-0, and OTW also registered the same scoreline victory over Papar Team B.
A total of 29 teams took part in the two-day tournament organised by Kota Kinabalu Table Tennis Association which was resumed after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
