Agent Andrea D'Amico has questioned Napoli captain Lorenzo Insigne's interest in joining Toronto FC.
D'Amico placed Sebastian Giovinco at the MLS club and doubts Insigne is serious about doing the same.
"It's difficult to comment on the Insigne situation, because to me it seems like a misdirection to get a better deal out of Napoli," D'Amico told Radio Punto Nuovo.
“The idea of almost €15m per season is impossible, in my view it's only a rumour. MLS is to be considered a serious option for Insigne, because I believe it will become an increasingly important league.
“We have to get used to a transfer market without borders, because what counts for a player now is his contract, his position on the pitch, lifestyle choices. The World Cup will be in America and Canada in 2026, so they have the infrastructure."
