Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick insists the tactics weren't the problem for victory at Norwich.
United were pushed all the way by Norwich before winning 1-0 via a second-half Cristiano Ronaldo penalty.
The manager said, "I mean, tactically, we don't have that much time to improve the tactical level. I don't think today it was a question of tactics or the distance to the team-mates it was more one-on-one offensively and defensively, the second balls.
"It's about who wins more second balls, who wins the one-on-one duels. That was sort of the difference between the different parts in the game and in our formation.
"We need to prepare for Brentford [on Tuesday], another difficult one. They won 2-1 against Watford, again a very physical team and again we need to take the next steps to raise this level to a different level."
