West Ham United are today in talks with Reims for Hugo Ekitike.
Sky Sports says the Irons are aiming to strike terms with Reims in the next 24 hours for the 19 year-old.
Reims president Jean-Pierre Caillot has publicly declared he wants €30m to sell Ekitike, with a further €10m due in bonuses.
West Ham are hopeful of negotiating down such demands.
Indeed, Caillot's asking price has already turned off Newcastle, which have completely dropped their pursuit of Ekitke.
