Newcastle United are interested in Atalanta fullback Robin Gosens.
Sky Italia says talks between Newcastle and Gosens have already been held.
Gosens is attracted to moving to Newcastle and the Premier League.
It's reported he has accepted the personal terms, a three-and-a-half-year contract worth €3.5m net per season.
That would effectively triple his current salary in Bergamo. However for the moment, Atalanta are reluctant to sell.
