SANDAKAN: An 18-year-old boy reported missing in a garden in Jalan Jalil Alip, here, on Tuesday was found unconscious in a pond at an orchard, Wednesday.
Prior to the discovery, Sandakan Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) Chief Jimmy Lagung said they received a report on the boy around 8.26pm on Tuesday via the MERS 999 line.
He said they conducted a search and rescue (SAR) operation at the location, some 20km away from the station.
“The unconscious boy was found by fire and rescue personnel in a pond in the garden area at 8.33am on Wednesday and handed over to the police for further action,” he added.
