Chelsea have made THREE attempts to bring Emerson Palmeiri back from Lyon this month.
The French side are also said to have turned their noses up at a £3.35million compensation offer.
Thomas Tuchel has asked the Blues to end the arrangement with Lyon due to his defensive crisis.
Ben Chilwell has been ruled out for the season and that has left the West London club looking for back-up to cover Marcos Alonso.
However Lyon have rebuffed their advances on THREE occasions, according to Fabrizio Romano.
He tweeted: "OL have turned down three approaches from Chelsea for Emerson Palmieri.
"They want too keep him until end of the season - not accepting €4m compensation.
"Tuchel wants Emerson but looks difficult, as of now.
"Kurzawa and Perisic are not options for Chelsea in January."
