Kota Kinabalu: Political Secretary to Penampang MP Darell Leiking, Pritchard Gumbaris, said the Government should be more proactive and expedite repairs of suspension bridges in the district before any untoward or fatal incident happens, especially among school students who use the bridges daily.
He said this in response to Moyog Community Development Coordinator Kirih Gary, who claimed the authorities did not repair a dilapidated suspension bridge at Kg Notoruss despite three applications sent by villagers since 2021.
