KUALA PENYU: The failure of the Public Works Department to put enough road safety warning signs along a damaged stretch at Kg Berangkok has been blamed for a car plunging down a ravine (pic) early Sunday.

Sanawi Sapar, a road user, informed the Daily Express here on Sunday that the driver was injured.

“Although the stretch has been damaged for some time, the relevant parties just placed cones along the side of the road without sufficient warning signage to notify cars of the dangers.

“What if cars fail to notice the cone, particularly at night or on rainy days?”

“We don’t want to point fingers at anyone, but for everyone’s safety, we hope the Public Works Department places enough warning signs, such as barrier fences and lights,” he said.

He also said that the Department must promptly fix the road, which has resulted in numerous accidents.
