Arsenal are ready to sell Ainsley Maitland-Niles this month.
The Daily Mail says Maitland-Niles's move to Roma has moved significantly closer with the north London club set to reach an agreement for the England international's exit this month.
The England international was due to hold talks with head coach Mikel Arteta this week to inform the Spaniard of his intention to leave this month.
The Italian club have submitted a loan offer for the 24-year-old, with an option to buy the Arsenal academy graduate in the summer.
Arsenal are set to respond to Roma's offer in the next 24 hours with a view to sealing their academy graduate's exit.
While there is no final agreement yet the deal is headed in the right direction.
