Ainsley Maitland-Niles is undergoing a medical with Roma.
The Arsenal midfielder on a loan deal until the end of the 2021-22 season, according to Goal.
Roma manager Jose Mourinho is impressed with Maitland-Niles' versatility, with the Englishman also able to play at fullback.
The Giallorossi do not have an option to make the deal permanent.
Maitland-Niles came through the Arsenal academy, having joined at the age of six.
He has since made 132 first-team appearances for the club.
