Kota Kinabalu: The State Government is constantly monitoring individuals not authorised to teach Islam or misuse the platform for political gain, said Special Tasks Minister Datuk Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif.

Although no report has been received so far, he said the Sabah Mufti’s Office and the Sabah Islamic Religious Council (Muis) has the jurisdiction to monitor such activities. This is to ensure that any slander, disagreement and division of Muslims can be avoided so as not to tarnish the religion of Islam.
