Atletico Madrid are ready to meet the buyout clause of Elche striker Lucas Boye.
Atletico see Boye as a long-term successor for Luis Suarez, who is off contract at the end of the season.
Elche have no interest in negotiating Boye's sale, but his contract carries an affordable €25m buyout clause. That drops by €10m should Elche be relegated.
Atletico are prepared to meet his option, though could face competition with Barcelona also interested.
Boyé, 25, has seven goals in 17 games so far this season.
