Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles could be rushed into Roma's squad for Sunday's clash with Juventus.
Maitland-Niles has been registered with the Lega Calcio, joining Roma on-loan to June without a permanent option.
He has been in Rome since Wednesday, when he underwent his medical.
The 24-year-old played his last competitive game on November 20 in Arsenal's 4-0 defeat against Liverpool.
