
LAHAD DATU: A 17-year-old girl was injured after her hand got stuck in a fish-grinder machine.
The incident happened around 1pm in a restaurant at Perdana Square, here, Tuesday.
The State Fire and Rescue Department, in a statement, said the department received a distress call at 1.17pm and a team of firefighters from Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue Station rushed to the scene.
He said due to the victim’s condition, the team rushed the girl to the hospital together with the machine using an Emergency Medical Response Service (EMRS).
However, the Department received another call from the hospital to assist in dismantling the grinder and the operation was still ongoing as at press time.
