Emerson is urging Olympique Lyon to entertain an offer from Chelsea this month.
On a season-long loan at OL, Emerson is wanted back at Chelsea after they lost fellow left-back Ben Chilwell for the season due to a knee injury.
The stumbling block has been Emerson's deal doesn't include a recall option.
OL rejected a €4m offer from Chelsea last week and have insisted they won't consider any further bids for the Italy international.
However, Le 10 Sport says Emerson wants to return and his agents are now speaking with OL about softening their stand and to consider allowing the left-back return to Chelsea for the right fee.
