Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Under-19 team manager Jamawi Jaafar called on the players to have a fearless attitude when they take on their opponents in the Youth Cup competition this season.
He made the call after meeting the coaches led by Johnny Dominicus and the players during their training session recently.
“I believe the players selected should grab the opportunity and train hard and give their best to the team’s challenge this season,” he said.
He added that apart from taking care of the players’ welfare, he also tries to ensure that their career as players will continue to progress.
“I am sure the players selected possess the right attitude, discipline and willing to train hard, there is an opportunity for them to go far and may get into the senior team in the future,” he said.
Meanwhile, he also thanked Sabah Football Association (Safa) president Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin for his trust in appointing him as the team manager this season and he vowed to give his best to the team.
