Bordeaux are targeting Arsenal great Thierry Henry for the coaching job.
RMC Sport says Henry has been in 'regular contact' with the Ligue 1 side, with the club's president Gerard Lopez making the Arsenal legend his No 1 managerial target if Vladimir Petkovic is shown the door.
The report goes on to suggest that Petkovic will need to beat Strasbourg at the weekend if he is to have any hope of keeping his job.
It remains to be seen whether Henry, who currently works as an assistant coach for Belgium, would take the step back into management with the Qatar World Cup taking place at the end of the year.
A relegation scrap may discourage the Frenchman but constant talks with the Ligue 1 side may help in persuading him.
