Kota Kinabalu: About 100 students were treated to free haircuts at Hairmix 33 Salon in City Parade, Centre Point Sabah, on Sunday.

Dexter Chin, Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) vice youth chief said the “Back-to-School Free Haircuts” event was aimed at helping students better prepare themselves for the school re-opening on Monday.

“At least students can enjoy a fresher look for 2022 for the coming Chinese New Year and also without burdening their parents’ wallets,” he added.

Dexter wishes the students well and hopes they enjoy the long-awaited back-to-school moments.

The event was jointly organised by SAPP KK Zone Youth with Likas and Api-Api state CLC Youth.

Hairmix 33 Salon owner, Hiew Nyuk Lin, was glad and honoured to take part in the event.

“Watching the smiling faces of these students with fitting neat hairstyles gave every one of us a high level of satisfaction,” said Hiew.

Also present at the event were SAPP Youth vice chairman Charles Yong, Youth Exco Nelson Tang and SAPP Mudanita chief Sherine Chong.
