Self-test kits for coronavirus have become more affordable, starting at RM4.90, as Malaysia inches towards a “new normal,” where testing before gatherings, events, or activities are usually recommended, and even mandatory prior to participation. Hey, people are just trying to keep each other safe and healthy.
Our poll asking “How often do you do a Covid-19 test?” with 5,500 respondents as of today found that 70.99% of Newswav users undergo a Covid-19 test only when necessary.
Another 11.72% of respondents test themselves for coronavirus once a week, while a similar 10.81% will do the test every two weeks. A smaller 2.16% of respondents say they test themselves for Covid-19 once every few months.
Generally, COVID-19 testing is recommended when a person displays symptoms of the virus (fever, cough, tiredness, loss of taste or smell, headache, sore throat, etc), or after they have come into contact with another person who is COVID-19 positive despite being asymptomatic.
