Former Lokomotiv Moscow president Olga Smorodskaya has questioned the future of Ralf Rangnick with the Russian giants.
It's expected Rangnick will return from his caretaker manager's post at Manchester United in June.
But Smorodskaya, responding to reports of Rangnick attending Carrington HQ after forgetting he'd given his squad the day off, told Sport-Express: "I don't think it says anything about Rangnick's current position at Manchester United. It happens to everyone, something is forgotten. I don't see anything wrong with that.
"The most important thing is that there is no problem.
"It must be understood that no one appointed him. He is interim coach until the arrival of (Mauricio) Pochettino. He knows this, so he hopes to return to the big money in Lokomotiv later. But I don't think he will do anything. Lokomotiv doesn't need a Rangnik, I've been talking about this since his first transfers."
