Cagliari have released Diego Godin from his contract.
The Uruguay international had been excluded from the squad for the second-half of this season.
He has now had his contract terminated by mutual consent. Godin had made 12 appearances this term.
The defender turns 36 next month and will make his next step in Brazil with Atletico Mineiro.
His contract was due to run until June 2023, having joined Cagliari as a free agent in September 2020, managing 40 competitive appearances for the club.
