Manchester City players are confident manager Pep Guardiola will sign a new deal.
The Spaniard's contract has just 16 months left to run and speculation over his future has grown of late, particularly given he has previously been reluctant to remain at the same club for long spells.
Guardiola spent four and three seasons at Barcelona and Bayern Munich respectively and he will have been at City six years by the end of the season.
The Mirror says, however, there is a feeling at the Etihad that Guardiola 'can't walk away' after building a team 'that can continue to dominate for years.'
City have moved to tie several of their stars to long-term contracts to ensure the core of their squad is kept intact.
This week, Joao Cancelo penned a new contract extension that will keep him at the Etihad through to 2027. Jack Grealish and Ruben Dias's deals are also due to expire in the same year.
