Aston Villa defender Calum Chambers says Steven Gerrard wants his troops to "run, tackle and fight for everything" against Watford this weekend.
Gerrard was furious with his players after last weekend's loss to Newcastle United, and Chambers says he wants a reaction.
"The Newcastle defeat was definitely frustrating. We came away from that disappointed," Chambers told Villa TV.
"We know every game in this league is a tough one. We reflected on it and there were some bits in the game where certain moments of quality were missing, which is what we've been working on this week in training and it's something we're looking to put in play against Watford.
"Again, it's not going to be an easy game. We've got to go out there and be prepared to run, tackle and fight for everything.
"That message has been drilled into us this week and we're all ready for the challenge."
