Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard admits defeat at Everton wasn't good enough.

Villa welcome Watford tomorrow.

Villa suffered a 1-0 defeat at Newcastle last time out and Gerrard is keen for his side to pick up their performance levels.

"The most important thing is that we need to see a change in the level of performance," he said.

"The players are honest enough with themselves and we know we need to raise that."
