Everton manager Frank Lampard confirmed yesterday that Ben Godfrey suffered a hamstring injury in the FA Cup win over Brentford.

The defender was forced off after just 14 minutes of action as he was replaced by Yerry Mina.

The Blues boss admitted Godfrey will be 'missing for a period'.

"It's a hamstring injury which is to be assessed," Lampard said.

"We'll have to let it settle for two days and then scan it, not good. He'll be missing for a period of time depending on the severity of the injury, but it's a hamstring."
