A product of the KV Mechelen youth academy, Vranckx joined Wolfsburg last summer in a deal worth €8 million.
His agent, Peter Verplancke, has previously revealed Manchester City were among the clubs interested in him.
He said: "We quickly had the feeling that Wolfsburg really wanted Aster. This feels good. This is the right step for him.
"Top European clubs, Juventus, AC Milan, Manchester City were also interested, but Aster did not want that."
