Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal says they must remember Kylian Mbappe remains an opponent.

The PSG striker is expected to join Real at the end of the season, though the two teams are to meet in the Champions League round of 16.

Carvajal said, "He's a very good player. Now it seems that his contract is over and he could wear our shirt. But now we shouldn't think about him other than trying to cover him well."

On teammate Vinicus Junior, the fullback also stated: "We're all a little amazed at the performance he's giving. He knew the goals would end up coming and that's the way it is. He's being very resolute and gives us a lot of points with goals and assists. He's basing his game more on being resolute than in dribbling."
