Everton boss Frank Lampard pushed hard to sign Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic during Monday's deadline day.

Spanish reporter Edu Aguirre revealed Lampard wanted to sign Jovic from Real Madrid - but Everton's efforts have been rebuffed by the club and player.

Both Real coach Carlo Ancelotti and the Serbian 'said no' to the move on Monday afternoon.

Ancelotti was eager to keep hold of Jovic, who has worked his way back into Real's first team plans under the Italian.
