Brentford new boy Christian Eriksen says he is not rushing his return to action.
The Danish midfielder has not played since suffering a cardiac arrest last summer at Euro 2020.
Eriksen's contract at Inter Milan was cancelled, as players cannot participate in the Italian league with implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs).
But he is now back in the Premier League, having previously starred in England with Tottenham.
"I'm not far off, it is difficult to put a date on it when it is going to happen, but hopefully in a few weeks' time it is going to look well," he said in a press conference regarding his fitness.
"I have only been training with the team for just over a week and it takes some time to get the football fitness.
"At the moment, when the coach sees me fit and wants me to play then I'll be able. But at the moment we just take it day by day."
